Margo was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1955. She was brought up Roman Catholic and later fell away at the age of fourteen. She initially studied Fashion Design and Clothing Technology at Douglas College, B.C. after graduating from high school. This brought her to live in Paris, France to continue Fashion Illustration and to learn the French language. Upon her return to Canada, she chose to move to Toronto for its potential employment in the Fashion Industry. Her career there did not last long. One thing led to another and opportunities to work in the Shopping Center realm opened, specifically doing marketing, managing, leasing, and property management. The early 1990's brought that nonessential career to an end due to the prevailing recession. Two job losses were sustained. During the first job loss, she started practicing Transcendental Meditation to cope with the stress of loss. After the second job loss, she went back to college and got a degree as a Human Services Counsellor from George Brown College. While studying at George Brown College she learned Therapeutic Touch and Foot Reflexology and later started teaching Reflexology with the Ontario College of Reflexology. She added yoga to her teaching career and did so mainly at Bliss Yoga Studio until the Pandemic shut that down in 2020. Her degree as a Human Services Counsellor got her a position at LOFT Community Services, an agency that provides supportive housing for those with mental health and addictions diagnosis. She continues to work as a Residential Support Worker and recently received a 20-year appreciation plaque for her ongoing service. It was one of her Reflexology students that sparked interest in becoming a Shamanic Practitioner. During Toronto's last Yoga Conference in 2023, she took an introductory workshop in Shamanism with Elder Gaisheda Keewok. There she was introduced to her first power animal and saw her opening color with the Thirteen Canoe Tradition. She continued to study with Gaisheda until 2025. Further studies were continued with Linda Kang of Spark then Ignite in the tradition of Sandra Ingerman, a long-standing Shamanic Practitioner and Psychotherapist from the United States. Margo brings her insightful Shamanic healing skills to Toronto and is available for assistance to those who choose this Path.
